A tourist visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or at the Nepal-India border crossings in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki or in Kodari on the Nepal-China border.

Visa Requirments:
A valid passport and one passport-size photo with a light background. Tourist visa can be obtained only through cash payment in the following currency: Euro, Swiss Franc, British Pound, US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar and Japanese Yen.

Outside of Nepal, a visa can be obtained at the nearest Embassy of Nepal or Diplomatic Mission or online with the Department on Immigration, Nepal.

The Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa and Consulate General of Nepal in Victoria, B.C. can issue tourist visas. All mail and courier visa applications must be sent directly to the Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa. The Consulate of Nepal in Victoria, B.C. will only process visa applications in person and by appointment.

b. Passport of at least six months validity
c. One recent passport-size photograph (35mm×45 mm)

a. CAD $35.00 for 15 Days Multiple Entry Tourist Visa
b. CAD $55.00 for 30 Days Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

Send documents by post/courier. Be sure to include a prepaid self-addressed express return envelope and a postal/bank money order payable to the Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa. Personal cheques, cash or credit card information are not accepted. However, applicants submitting visa application in person can pay by money order or in cash.
Visa can be submitted in person from 10 am to 4 pm during office days.
Visa once issued cannot be withdrawn nor the visa fee refunded.
Visa must be used within six months from the date of issue.
Normally, visa will be issued the same day of the submission of application or the next day.
