Makalu Base Camp Trek - 22 Days.

The Makalu Base Camp Trek is the least visited trek in Nepal. Starting from Arun Valley in the eastern part of Nepal, the trail runs north through the Barun Valley. Mount Makalu is one of the 8000 meter peaks, which had been attempted by Hillary, but not successfully. Makalu Base Camp Trek is still waiting to be widely explored.  Recently, locals built more teahouses, which makes it a bit easier and less expensive. It can be trekked either by teahouse or camping.

Makalu Barun National Park is home to 3000 species of flowering plants, 440 species of birds and 75 species of mammals. The towering glacier capped granite cliffs in the upper part of Barun Valley has been compared to those of Yosemite - only on a bigger scale, though! As you walk up the river valley, magnificent mountain vistas will unfold before you, including the mountains of Makalu, Everest and Lhotse. This region is the land of Rai, Limbu and Sherpa people. You will explore local culture, great scenery and, of course, the great snowcapped mountains.

Kanchenjunga Trek - 26 Days.

Price: $3250 USD Per Person

The Kanchenjunga Trekking Route is located in the eastern part of Nepal. It is one of the best regions in Nepal for visitors who want to get away from the busier areas. This region is restricted to organized expeditions only; self-sufficiency is essential. You will walk along the remote trails of the local Rai and Limbu people, venturing where few foreigners have tread.

The region is blessed with the World’s third highest peak, Mount Kanchenjunga (8586m). It is the jewel of the Eastern Himalayas, located on the border of Nepal, India and Tibet. Mt. Kanchenjunga is regarded as one of the most alluring and treacherous mountains above 8000 metres. And though considered as one of the most beautiful, it is climbed far less by mountaineers. The Region of Kanchenjunga lies in the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and is full of rich varieties of local flora and fauna.

Trekking in this region gives you a chance to experience a diverse cultural, ethnic and religious adventure. In addition you’ll also experience the most enchanting landscape and the ever alluring mountains. As one of the least visited areas the true essence of the trek is preserved, allowing you to be part of the local life while spending nights in different villages along the trail. A trek in this region will take you to the heart of the mountains where you’ll be able to absorb the serenity and sanctity of nature in all its glory.
